Trinity began in 1951. We have about 68 households, 143 baptized members. Our building was built in 1952 and added onto in 1970 and 1978. Our ongoing events are worship, bible studies, WELCA, Sunday school and confirmation, youth group, benevolence giving, and fellowship. Our other frequent events are West Concord community services, choir, and youth outings. We are handicap accessible with an elevator.
We love to give money away — supporting an intern pastor, missionaries in Tanzania, a fledgling church in Nepal, SEMCAC food shelf, Bible Camp, and Lutheran World Relief.
We have thirteen stained glass windows on the east side of our sanctuary.
Five windows depict symbols — God the Father, God the Holy Spirit, The Lamb of Salvation, The Eucharist, and God the Son is the center window honoring the congregation. The balance of the windows are scenery windows. The windows are designated in honor of loved ones or in memory of loved ones.
Pastor Chad Christensen began serving our church in July 2020.
Our elected leaders are our Church Council: Doug Klevos, Michelle Spitzack, Kim Jones, Mavis Dessner, Annalee Thomas, Dayton Fate, and Jeremy Ellingson. The purpose of the Church Council is to plan a program of nurture, outreach, and witness; align the plan with the mission of the church; and implement the plan; and provide administration.
Our music leader is Michelle Spitzack, and our WELCA Co-chairs are Lois Turner & Karen Peterson.
